I have always loved painting and drawing. My first love was working in oils and painting landscapes and portraits of my grandchildren.&nbsp; You can see them in my collection.<\/p>\n<p>I did not choose art as my career however, it has always been my hobby. I recently retired from my career as a therapist, consultant with a human development firm, and university professor. A dear friend and colleague convinced me to take up watercolor painting with her.&nbsp; When I first transitioned from oils to watercolor, to say it was challenging is an understatement! Oil is a &#8220;forgiving medium,&#8221; mistakes are easily corrected. I wondered if I would ever learn to enjoy watercolor painting! After five years and attending many workshops, I can see the positive results of staying with it &#8211; I now enjoy working in this challenging medium. I hope you enjoy looking at my paintings.
